Caregivers You Can Trust, Managed by Nurses

4

Home care, your way.  We specialize in providing care to individuals of all ages.  Whether you need weekly visits, daily visits, or 24 hour live-in care due to aging, illness, recovery, or chronic medical conditions, our caregivers will provide high quality, customized care in your home.

WHAT IS HOME CARE?

According to the Canadian Home Care Association, home care is defined as “an integrated array of services, provided in the home and community setting, that encompass health promotion and teaching, curative intervention, end of life care, rehabilitation, support and maintenance, social adaptation and integration, and support for the family caregiver”.

WHY CHOOSE HOME CARE OVER A RETIREMENT HOME OR LONG-TERM CARE?

Some clients and families are unaware that facilities are not covered by the government.  Clients can invest the money they would have to spend to live in a facility paying for home care for themselves, in the home they are most comfortable in.

WHO NEEDS HOME CARE?

Any client or family member that feels stressed or anxious because the tasks of daily living are too overwhelming.  This includes clients of all ages.

HOW ARE YOUR CAREGIVERS SCREENED AND ARE THEY BONDED?

Yes, they are bonded and screened thoroughly in our hiring process.  They all have a vulnerable sector criminal record check, reference checks, and CPR “C” Health Care Provider/First Aid.  Our caregivers are called Health Care Aides or “HCA”s and have experience working with clients of all ages.

WHO PAYS FOR YOUR SERVICES?

Our clients do. Our services are completely customized to your needs and are not covered by government home care plans.  However, many clients may be eligible for coverage through the government home care service called Self Managed Care, Veteran’s Affairs, or private health insurance. We often hear about how expensive private home care is.  We will work with you to explore all of your options, and how we can best work within your budget to keep your home care at a rate similar to or lower than what you may pay at an assisted living facility.

DO YOU WORK SEPARATELY FROM ALBERTA HEALTH SERVICES HOME CARE?

No. We are very knowledgeable about how the government home care program works.  We ensure you have as much government provided care in place as is available/wanted and then supplement your extra needs with our customized services. We communicate with Alberta Health Services Home Care Nurses to provide you with better, more collaborative health care as a team.

WHERE DO YOU PROVIDE YOUR SERVICES?

Most of our clients receive care in their own home.  We also provide additional care to clients in Hospitals, Long Term Care or Supportive Living facilities, and Adult Day Care programs.   Our services are available in Red Deer and across Central Alberta.  If you are unsure if we provide service in your area, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.
